Junior Chefs’ Academy is highly commended at the West London Business Awards

The Geoffrey Harrison Foundation is delighted that the University of West London was highly commended in the community investment category at the West London Business Awards. This was in recognition for their very successful Junior Chefs’ Academy.The Junior Chefs’ Academy has been sponsored by The Geoffrey Harrison Foundation for the past six years and benefits students immensely, providing young people with the opportunity to learn key craft skills and gain valuable chef experience whilst still at school.Underpinned by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and the Craft Guild of Chefs, the academy courses provide year 10 and 11 students with the opportunity to expand their culinary skills, work as part of a team and build their organisational and food service techniques.Geoffrey Harrison said ‘I’m delighted for the University of West London to be recognised for their hard work and dedication. The Junior Chefs’ Academy helps develop the next generation of talent whilst promoting the opportunities within the catering and hospitality industry’.
