Continued support of the English Schools’ Orchestra
- Responsibility
To help provide the opportunity for talented young orchestral musicians and singers to meet and perform with other similarly gifted young people from all over the country, Harrison Catering has been supporting English Schools’ Orchestra (ESO) since 1995.
Harrison Catering takes tremendous pleasure in supporting the ESO, and as part of our continued commitment, we recently supported the Orchestra’s annual concert, held at London’s Cadogan Hall on Sunday, 30th October, which was the biggest yet with almost 100 performers.
The ESO support young, talented musicians and nurture the exceptional talent that exists in our country’s young musicians so they can perform at their best. They offer talented young people still in full-time education the opportunity to perform with like-minded orchestral musicians.
From all over the country and from various backgrounds, musicians gain experience, learn a varied repertoire, receive focused tuition in sectionals, and perform alongside sensational choirs in multiple venues across the UK and abroad.
President, English Schools’ Orchestra and Choir, The Lord Lingfield DL, said:
“The ESO is now more than 25 years old. Throughout its existence it has been supported by a number of generous donors. Their generosity has enabled us to provide hundreds of young people with the opportunity to play in a national orchestra of high repute at some first-class venues in this country and abroad.”
