Cost Sector Unit Manager Award | Harrison Catering
- Harrison
Harrison is delighted to announce that Craig Robinson, Catering Manager at Harrogate Ladies’ College, was honoured with the Unit Manager Award at the Cost Sector Catering Awards 2014, held last night at the Hilton Metropole in London.
The annual awards recognise the UK’s best public sector and foodservice catering operators. The Unit Manager Award is given to the manager of a single site who stands out above all others in their quest for excellence.
At Harrogate Ladies’ College, Craig has continually improved standards in all areas of the food and service, introducing a range of new innovations that add significantly to the overall experience that HLC offers to its pupils. He has engaged with the pupils themselves both to give them a voice in the food they are served and to improve their experience through special events, workshops and fun activities that add positively to life at the school. He has reached out to parents to enable them to experience the food their children eat and has even provided a value-added service by opening a bread shop from which they can purchase freshly made bread, chutneys and preserves for use at home.
Claire Aylward, Joint Managing Director, said:
‘Craig has forged a strong partnership with Harrogate Ladies’ College and carefully nurtured the talents of his team, all with the goal of continually improving the food and service to benefit the pupils. We are proud to have him as a member of the extended Harrison family and delighted that his hard work and dedication has been recognised with this prestigious award.’
