Prue Leith spends the day with Harrison
- Harrison
Harrison Catering were delighted to host Prue Leith today as she visited two schools in Lambeth. Perhaps most famous for her legendary cookery school and cookery bible, and for her appearance as a judge on multiple series of Great British Menu, Prue is also the Chair of the School Food Trust, hence her interest in Harrison’s activities in schools.
Hosted by Managing Director Geoffrey Harrison and Client Services Director Simon Willis, Prue visited La Retraite secondary school and Kingswood primary school – the former of which is a stand-alone Harrison contract, the latter a part of our Lambeth Council Local Authority contract.
This is the second time we have had the pleasure of showing our operations to Prue, having hosted her at Mossbourne Community Academy a couple of years ago, and we were delighted that she found our current activities so compelling. She said:
“I usually like to give schools I visit and their caterers a bit of useful advice, but I really couldn’t fault what (Harrison) are doing for school lunches. The food looked fantastic, tasted great and your staff are a real credit to your organisation.”
Much of the credit goes to Nicola Turk and Sue Steele, the Harrison Client Service Managers responsible for the two sites, but also to the catering teams in both those sites. We like to think they are representative of all our contracts!
