Commitment to minimise environmental impact
- Responsibility
Following a rigorous audit by NQA, a company accredited by UKAS to carry out audits of environmental management systems, our Thame Environmental Management System is now certified to ISO 14001 – an internationally agreed standard to enhance environmental performance.
As a responsible, forward-thinking company and a leading caterer for nearly three decades, Harrison Catering understands the importance of taking real action to minimise environmental impact and sourcing sustainably; our approach and solutions include:
Responsible sourcing
- Using trusted nominated suppliers
- Serving fresh British meat, UK free-range eggs (since 2010), dolphin-friendly tuna and promoting British produce
Compostable packaging
- Using our branded packaging from supply chain partner Vegware, which is entirely compostable in 12 weeks
Recycling waste cooking oil
- Using supply chain partner Olleco to collect/recycle waste cooking oil, which is processed/converted to biodiesel
Achieving certification is a fabulous endorsement of our EMS, along with our approach to sourcing responsibly, focus on seasonal produce and long-standing commitment to sustainability.
