Exciting experience for school chef
- People
Harrison Catering Services is delighted to be part of the Lead Association for CAtering in Education (LACA) nationwide initiative Host a School Chef, sponsored by Alaska Seafood.
The initiative enables school chefs to spend a day in the kitchen of some of the most exclusive restaurants in the country. They become part of the team and work with some of the most celebrated chefs in the industry.
Harrison chef Morad from Whitehorse Manor School, part of the Pegasus Academy, has been invited by Fortnum and Mason to attend the prestigious establishment where he will spend a day working alongside the team in The Gallery restaurant. The experience will enable Morad to learn more about cooking for different market sectors whilst he demonstrates talent within the education catering sector.
As purveyors of fine food, Fortnum and Mason have built their reputation on supplying fine foods and seasonal produce. This resonates well with Harrison who pride themselves in creating dishes using fresh, quality ingredients and cooking in line with the seasons.
Claire Aylward, Joint Managing Director said:
“I’m delighted that Harrison has been invited to get involved with LACA’s great initiative. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the exceptional skill level within this vibrant industry and to share learnings”
