Harrison Directors Speak at Family Business Conference | Harrison Catering

Earlier this month, Harrison’s Joint Managing Directors Claire Aylward and Gareth Harrison were featured speakers at The Great British Family Business 2014 conference, sponsored by Family Business United.

Held at the May Fair Hotel in London, the conference was a masterclass for family businesses in how to make the most of family values in branding, development, marketing, governance and sustainability.

Having won the South West Family Business of the Year Award in 2013, Claire and Gareth were delighted to be asked to provide their insights into how Harrison has prioritised succession planning to ensure the continued growth of the business and how they personally prepared to take over leadership.

Some of the family businesses with whom Harrison shared the stage are in their 6th and 10th generations, with vast experience and knowledge. However, they all share the common characteristics of passion, solid values, commitment to customer service and placing a high value on their staff.

At 20 years old, Harrison may still be a young business by comparison, but these are the same characteristics that are at the heart of our business and that enable us to deliver outstanding food and service to our clients and customers each and every day.
