Project Search employees add value | Harrison Catering
- Responsibility
Harrison Catering Services was delighted to attend a Graduation ceremony recently for Project Search, an initiative with Ealing Mencap to place students with special needs into permanent employment.
In September 2015, Harrison became involved with the scheme and recruited three new catering assistants to its school catering teams in Ealing.
The individuals have all done exceptionally well in their roles and are valued members of their teams.
The graduation ceremony gave Harrison the perfect opportunity to share its young people’ success stories and to encourage other businesses to get involved.
Paul Biddle HR Director commented:
‘It has been really rewarding to see each of the young people grow in confidence and progress in their chosen career paths. One of them has even taken professional cookery qualifications – his attention to detail is second to none’
All three young people are excellent role models for others considering Project Search, they are dedicated and committed to their roles and the Company. The scheme has been so successful that Harrison is now looking to fill more positions in September in collaboration with Project Search.
Claire Aylward, Joint Managing Director said:
‘It’s fantastic to see what can be achieved given the correct training and support. I am delighted with the progress that the employees from Project Search have made, they really add value to the business.’
