Springboard success for Harrison

Harrison is proud to have won Springboard’s highly acclaimed ‘Best Education and Industry Partnership’ award 2019. This is in recognition of its work with organisations to support educational establishments and help people find employment. Harrison is delighted to support Springboard and get involved with initiatives to help people achieve their potential and gain employment.

The Geoffrey Harrison Foundation sponsors Junior Chefs Academies which are supported by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and the Craft Guild of Chefs. The part time courses for year 10 and 11 students run at the University of West London (UWL), Westminster Kingsway College (WKC) and are soon to be joined by Lakefield Hospitality College. The courses provide a great start for those who are interested in finding out more about a hospitality career.

Harrison has built strong relationships with partners and provides work experience placements for students from the London South East Colleges. People with learning difficulties also benefit, students from Project Search, the Camden Society and Foxes Academy have completed placements and found permanent employment with Harrison. The partnerships are two-way with shared goals and joint working ensuring alignment so Harrison can work effectively to benefit students.
