Supporting clients and promoting career paths in hospitality

We recently participated in a Careers event organised by one of our clients to raise awareness for students aged 11-18 about their opportunities when they leave school. We were delighted to support this event to help promote the benefits of a career in hospitality and the incredible scope this can provide young people, along with a set of transferrable skills that can be used throughout the world.

Supporting our client at this event provided an excellent platform to inspire the next generation of catering professionals and share the career paths and training opportunities available within the hospitality industry sector.

At Harrison, our love of the hospitality industry inspired us to establish the Geoffrey Harrison Foundation in 2011, which supports aspiring young people to advance their education and learning in the industry, providing valuable life skills and a pathway to a very rewarding, creative, successful career.

Over the past decade, the Foundation has supported over 1,381 aspiring young chefs, typically years 9, 10 and 11. The courses are delivered on Saturday mornings at Westminster Kingsway College, University of West London or Loughborough College and last between 5 to10 weeks (depending on the location). We are delighted to inspire the next generation of creative chefs, who will become powerful advocates for preparing fresh, quality food within the industry.
